SFC Jacob Carlson, My eyes were opened while stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky where I assisted with a project done by the Nashville Habitat for Humanity in 2013. Witnessing the home dedication ceremony to a family and seeing the immense impact it has on people’s lives is a surreal experience. This led me to continue volunteer work at the Mason City, Iowa Habitat for Humanity. When I moved to upstate New York, one of my first projects was assisting with a remodel in Lowville. After much thought, I believe that I could do more, and am inspired by the idea of climbing a mountain as a campaign to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity and all of their great work.
1LT Jacob Wilson, My desire to assist others experiencing tough times, love for the outdoors with great family and friends, and construction minded background made it a quick and easy decision to join SFC Carlson’s Climb for a Cause campaign to summit Mt. Adams, WA in the name of raising funds for Habitat for Humanity. Climb to Glory!
