Community Awareness and Fundraising Committee Corporate Sponsorship Committee Contact: Brian Drappo (315) 783-4799 For more information about Corporate Sponsorship and its benefits, please see the Our Sponsors page. Family Selection and Support Committee Contact: Lynn Morgan, Chairperson The Family Selection and Support Committee recruits and carefully screens families for home ownership. They work with families to obtain all required information, select partner families, and make notifications. The committee also builds lasting relationships by working with families in two ways: 1) Create a one-to-one partnership between a committee member and a Habitat family. 2) Guide the family to becoming competent and successful homeowners, through educational sessions such as budgeting, home maintenance, decorating, gardening, and landscaping, etc. Building Committee Contact: Brian Drappo, Chairperson: (315) 783-4799 Once a family is chosen and a site is picked by the Board of Directors, the project is handed off to the Building Committee to develop and construct a house that is simple and fits the guidelines for the family. The members of the Building Committee are men and women who oversee the volunteer work groups that come each weekend. Their level of construction knowledge and experience vary. Anyone that is interested in being a member of the Building Committee can contact the chairperson for more information. Volunteer Development Committee Contact: Pam Rajner, Volunteer Coordinator: (315) 486-7321 The Volunteer Development Committee is responsible for recruiting, placement, and coordination of volunteers. The Volunteer Committee works with the Building Committee to coordinate "work day" schedules. The committee recruits local restaurants and food establishments to donate lunches at work sites. The committee is also responsible for maintaining the "volunteer recognition" program. |
